About Me…

Irish tutor, Ronan Griffin of Taught to Learn, teaching study skills to second-level students

Hi, I'm Ronan Griffin; student of psychology in UCD.

I achieved 625 points in Leaving Certificate 2022, coming from 2 As in my Junior Cert.

I then began the Taught to Learn course, to pass on the skills and strategies for academic success which I used in achieving 625.

In summary, the Taught to Learn course is a short and effective study-skills course for 2nd-level students of all abilities.

Just 1.5 years after launching the course, I have helped over 200 students improve their grades, across all subjects.

I also work with Studyclix as their resident study-expert.

WHAT IS THE TAUGHT TO LEARN COURSE?

Module 1: Motivated Study

The TTL course begins with a focus on setting goals and becoming clear about what the student wants from their time in school.

Module 2: Organisation

Secondly, we create your strategy. Students get on-track towards the goals they established previously, and create a study-plan tailored to their goals and circumstances.

Module 3: Effective Methods

Goals are made and plans are designed. In Module 3, students are taught about psychology’s best methods for making the most of the time they spend studying.

Module 4: Healthy Study

By now, students are well on their way to achieving their goals. Here we focus on avoiding burnout and ensuring high-quality study for months and years to come.
